A high-quality Clif's Notes of ex-phys

This is like a high-quality Clif's Notes of ex-phys topics. This book would be great for someone with passing interest across ex-phys, who doesn't want too many details in too much depth. For deeper interest McArdle and Katch's is a better place to start. For people more interested in application-specific aspects of ex-phys, NSCA's CSCS book is probably best. If you're looking for esoteric ex-phys training applications get Siff and Verkhoshanskys Supertraining.

Excellent in depth look at many S&C priciples

I have really enjoyed this text and have gone back to it numerous times. All claims made by authors are very well referenced which it a huge plus.
As the book states this is a look at biological principles of S&C and it also touches on practical applications as well (rather biased toward the principles though)This is not a book to grab if you are looking for a new workout, but if you want cutting edge information on how the human responds to exercise in order to enhance your learning and/or coaching this is an excellent text. I highly recommend it.

good book

Honestly, has waaaaay more biological principles than practical applications. Very understandable book, however, Id only recomend if you have taken a few coures in human biology, anatomy, and physiology.
